District Council Representative Group
Chair: Alison Broom, Chief Executive, Maidstone Borough Council
This group's membership is the District Council Safeguarding Leads. The group provides a district council voice at the KSCMP and oversees the Partnership's decisions and recommendations relating to District / Borough Councils. It defines the strategic direction in relation to planning, commissioning and delivery of services to vulnerable children in order to achieve a consistent and responsive approach.
Education Representative Group
Chair: Peggy Murphy, Head Teacher, Five Acre Wood School
The Education Representative Group ensures good two-way communication between the Education Sector and the KSCMP and raises awareness across the sector of wider safeguarding issues.
The Forum identifies and discusses strategic issues being raised by educational establishments and where required, makes suitable recommendations to KSCMP for action. It will support settings involved in Serious Case / Local Practice Reviews and enable representatives from a range of educationals establishments to link with the work of KSCMP.
Health Representative Forum
Chair: Sarah Vaux, Chief Nurse, Kent Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs)
The Health Representative Forum has been established to enable health representatives from the NHS Kent and Medway, Kent County Council and all Health Trusts and agencies to meet together in order to fulfil their responsibility to safeguard children in an integrated way.
The Forum provides a common health voice at the KSCMP and oversees the Partnership's decisions and recommendations relating to health services. It defines the strategic direction in relation to planning, commissioning and delivery of services to vulnerable children in order to achieve a consistent and responsive approach. The Forum will identify any deficits in health services to safeguarding children and ensure the deficits are addressed.

Joint Exploitation Group
This is a joint group combining the Kent Safeguarding Children Multi-Agency Partnership (KSCMP), Medway Safeguarding Children Partnership (MSCP), and Kent and Medway Safeguarding Adults Board (KMSAB). The group oversees multi-agency activity around:
- Sexual Exploitation
- Gangs / County Lines
- Human Trafficking / Modern Slavery
- Online Safeguarding
- Radicalisation / Extremism
- Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC)

Online Safeguarding Working Group
Chair: Paula Mitchell, Adult Safeguarding Officer, KCC Adult Social Care and Health
The purpose of the working group is to support the Kent Safeguarding Children Multi-Agency Partnership (KSCMP), Medway Safeguarding Children Partnership (MSCP), and Kent and Medway Safeguarding Adults Board (KMSAB), and their partners in their oversight of online safeguarding issues and ensuring joined-up multi-agency working where online safeguarding is seen as risk factors for children, young people, and adults.
Policy and Procedures Group
Chair: Tina Hughes, Senior Probation Officer, National Probation Service
Policy and Procedures is a joint Kent Safeguarding Children Multi-Agency (KSCMP) and Medway Safeguarding Children Partnership (MSCP) group, and is responsible for developing policies and procedures for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and ensuring they are compliant with national requirements.
The group also has the responsibility for coordinating the development of local multi-agency policies, procedures and guidance for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children on behalf of KSCMP and MSCP. The group keeps such policies under review, ensuring their timely revision and undertakes focused pieces of work at the request of the Partnerships, cooperating additional professionals as required.
Rapid Review Group
Chair: Sarah Hammond, Director of Integrated Children's Services (Social Work Lead), KCC Children, Young People and Education
The group supports the KSCMP in establishing the initial scope for any Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews where the criteria, as set out in Working Together to Safeguarding Children 2018, are met, and develop procedures and protocols for undertaking these Practice Reviews. The group also provides the National Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel (CSPRP) with timely information on the Safeguarding Partnership's decisions regarding the undertaking of Practice Reviews.
Scrutiny and Challenge Group
Chair: Sue Chandler, KCC Cabinet Member for Integrated Children's Services
The primary purpose of the Scrutiny and Challenge Group is to assure the safeguarding partners of the efficacy of the safeguarding system and facilitate robust scrutiny and constructive challenge across the partnership.
The objective of the Scrutiny and Challenge Group is to ensure that the functions of the partnership are effectively discharged by the Safeguarding Partners and Relevant Agencies as required in Working Together 2018.
