Positive Behaviour Support - Family Carer Workshops

This free two part (two day) workshop is for family carers of children and/or adults with learning disabilities who display challenging behaviour.

The workshops help families understand their relatives behaviour and plan appropriate support strategies, using Positive Behaviour Support.

Day 1 - 'Understanding Challenging Behaviour': discuss with others the behaviours you've experienced and learn how to work out the reason for your relatives behaviour.

Day 2 - 'Supporting Behaviour Change': learn how to prevent behaviour or respond when it occurs and plan support strategies.

Event Dates:

Day 1: 12th March 2019 - 10am-2:30pm - Tonbridge and Malling

Day 2: 26th March 2019 - 10am-2:30pm - Tonbridge and Malling

Free parking will be available at the venues and hot drinks provided throughout the day.  Please bring your own lunch.

If you would like to attend any of the above dates, please book by emailing kscbtraining@kent.gov.uk (please ensure you include the date of the course, your name, and email address when booking).

The workshops will be led by two-co trainers, a Positive Behaviour Support trainer and a Family Carer trainer.

You are welcome to bring an additional 2 members of your family to the workshops i.e. partner, sibling over 16 etc.  Please make sure sign them up as well when booking so well know who will be attending.  It will not be suitable to bring children/young people with learning disabilities to these workshops.
