Child sexual abuse

Child sexual abuse (CSA) is often hidden but recent revelations of institutionalised silence, increase of local child safeguarding practice reviews, and strong links with child sexual exploitation (CSE) means organisations should have specific procedures for responding and safeguarding all children and young people involved. All staff should be made aware of these and know how to follow them.

This course will increase your understanding of sexual abuse, including:

  • grooming
  • perpetrators
  • when to be concerned
  • current issues
  • links with CSE
  • online safety.
